Milwaukee, Wisconsin
This city might be popular and is deemed progressive in many ways. However, despite the happy façade lies the reality that 30% of its residents live in poverty and 7% of them don’t have a job. This makes Milwaukee one of the biggest cities with a very bad record. Add to that the fact that in 2015, violent crimes rose by 60.5% when the entire country has seen a drop. Assaults are fairly common in Milwaukee that they are no longer newsworthy at some point.
