With over 7,600 reported assaults in 2015, Memphis is surely one of the scariest places to live in the US. This is the highest compared with any other city. There were also 135 murders that took place in 2015. Its combination of high poverty rate and high unemployment rate didn’t help make the situation better. A lot of incidents of violence might not have even been reported, making the figures even worse than they already are.
