Mitch
Mitch is one of those major hurricanes that did not receive too much media attention. Because of its strength, the devastation it caused was far worse than most. The amount of rainfall it produced caused mudslides in its path. It moved slow and looked to stop once it reached Honduras in October of 1998. This was where it created lethal damage. More than 11,000 perished and thousands more went missing in the aftermath.
