Camille is a category 5 hurricane, one of only a few that hit the United States. Winds measured about 200 mph and it brought heavy flooding from the Gulf Coast to Virginia. It all started in the Cayman Islands. It went up through Cuba. From here it grew in strength and landed in the state of Mississippi. It lost strength but stayed long enough to create enough damage that resulted in mudslides and massive floods. It left 256 people dead.
