The Billiken
St. Louis University has the Billiken for its mascot. It used to be a very popular charm doll with pointy ears like that of an elephant’s, a pointed head topped with a tuft of hair and sports a mischievous smile. The university mascot was said to initially resemble football coach John R. Bender. The current one does not resemble the doll or the coach and instead is as white as a ghost that’s trying to prevent itself from throwing up.
