1925 Tri-state Tornado
This tornado still holds the record for the worst and deadliest tornado to have hit the US soil. It reached F5 in the Fujita scale. Usually, tornados end up really quickly but massive. In this case, not only was it strong, but it also lasted for 3.5 hours. It has also generated 8 more tornadoes after the first one. Missouri, Illinois and Indiana were greatly affected, although smaller ones also hit Alabama and Kansas. For states that are used to tornadoes, this one really hit them hard. It led to 750 deaths.
