As the Supreme Leader of Iran since 1989, people widely view him as the ultimate authority in the country. He has always shun the idea of democracy and fended off political dissidents. He has led Iran with iron fist. Despite protests for him to step down, he showed no signs of leaving office. He has always chanted death to Americans. With him in power, there will always be tension between Iran and the US.
