The 1977 Madaripur-Shibchar Tornado
This is the 3rd tornado to have hit Bangladesh on the list. This country has seen tons of tornadoes through the years. The devastations were perhaps the reasons why it was really hard for them to recover. In this 1977 tornado, there were estimated 500 deaths. Homes, structures, and properties were lost due to this tornado, reaching the villages of Madaripur to Shibchar. It also took place on an April fool’s Day. One thing is for sure- it was not a funny joke.
