Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami 2011
A 9.0 magnitude earthquake hit the east coast of Japan in 2011. This was really strong that it caused immediate movements of the sea, resulting to a devastating tsunami. It killed over 15,000 people and injured over 7,000 more. It also resulted to the partial meltdown of some nuclear reactors. You can see some of the worst videos regarding this incident in YouTube and how people managed to escape the wrath of the sea. It was a horrifying incident, but you can barely see the traces today. The Japanese government acted quickly. If you visit the affected areas now, it is as if nothing has happened.
